October 18, 2011

His stuck moment: After graduating from college with a degree in psychology, Stewart wandered through seven jobs in two years, ranging from contract administrator to puppeteer.

He sets a goal: Banking on his college rep as a funnyman, he moved to New York City to break into stand-up comedy.

Unstuck result: He scored a steady gig at the Comedy Cellar and eventually got his own TV show, “The Jon Stewart Show,” on MTV in 1993.
