Her stuck moment:

Fossey, who had spent years studying mountain gorillas, was distraught over the death of her favorite primate, Digit, who was killed by poachers.

She gets restoked: By shifting her focus from research to poaching prevention, she reignited her passion by founding the Digit Fund, an anti-poaching organization.

Unstuck result: The group, now called the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, stabilized the gorilla population in Rwanda and continues to serve as a haven for rescued gorillas.

His stuck moment:

After reaching the top world ranking in 1995, Agassi got caught in a swirl of distractions (movie-star marriage and crystal meth, among them) that landed him at the #141 ranking.

He gets restoked: He moved out of the fast lane and began playing in lower-caliber circuits, where he rediscovered his spark.

Unstuck result: In 2003, he was #1 again. He retired in 2006 as an eight-time Grand Slam champion.
