Once in a while we get worked up by imagining all sorts of relationship discord — even if we’re not entirely sure how the other person feels. So if there wasn’t a problem before, there is now. Not good. The best way out of this is to ask if he thinks the situation is off kilter. If he doesn’t, we dismiss those negative musings and take him out for coffee. If he does, well, we try not to argue, and then test out another tactic.
